    1854: 1 s. blue with clear margins and 1854 Woodblock 6 d. orange pair used on 1857 entire letter from Melbourne to Paris endorsed "p. Columbian via Marseilles" (European & Australian Mail Co.), tied by '1' numeral obliterators in black, with "Melbourne / Victoria" despatch datestamp (April 15) in black on reverse: underpaid 1/4 d. for ¾ ounce rate. Circular "AUSTRALIE V. SUEZ / MARSEILLE" in red (June 6) and charged at quadruple weight with handstruck '20' décimes due. A charming and most attractive entire, #43 in the Palmer Census.
