1859/73: Pre UPU covers (4) on Exhibit leaves, all taxed as short paid to France and all struck with INSUFFICIENTLY / PREPAID handstamps in black; with 1859 entire franked 1 d. red stars (4) from Liverpool charged with handstruck '12' décimes due, 1865 cover with single 1864/79 1 d. red taxed '7' décimes; 1866 cover with 1858 2 d. blue and 4 d. vermilion charged '10' décimes with 'PD' deleted by London numeral '30'; and 1873 cover with 3 d. rose with 'PD' deleted and taxed '9' décimes due.
