1896: 1 d. pink stationery envelope to Hyeres, France up-rated with 1 d. lilac and ½ d. vermilion tied by "Hastings Station Office / 342" duplexes (Feb 15). Found to be double weight and taxed on arrival with Duval 1881/92 Postage Due 50 c. black (Maury T20), forwarded on again to Cannes (to Hotel California) and taxed there with 1893 Postage Due 50 c. lilac.
