1841: 1 d. red-brown, worn, a fine four margined example used on 1847 entire letter to Laval, France paying internal rate, tied by London '8' numeral obliterator with "T.P. / Blackfriars Rd." at right, with "Angl. / Boulogne" entry marking in red and taxed '16' décimes due in manuscript; together with a matching cover from 1853 with fine 1 d. imperf. from Manchester taxed originally '8' décimes handstruck, altered to '16' in manuscript.
