    1865 (Jan 6): Entire letter from Palermo to London, bearing 1863 DLR 60 c. in a violet shade, a fresh and fine example with vivid colour, tied by two strikes of two-line straight "VIA / DI MARE" handstamp in red with another strike, "P.D." handstamp and LONDON arrival (Jan 11) cds, all in red alongside. Reverse with GENOVA transit (Jan 9) cds. Interesting cancellation on this denomination, presumably applied in Genova, a light file fold, but a very interesting entire.
