    1859: 2 gr. in the extremely rare shade 'azzuro oltramare', carta di Napoli, from plate I showing the characteristic retouche of position 71 in the ciuffo of King Ferdinando, a fine example with fair to good margins, large sheet margin (8 mm.) with 'doppia linea di riquadro' at left, tied by 'ferro di cavallo' handstamp, "PALERMO PARTENZA 12 MAR. 59" despatch cds alongside, on cover to Leonforte. An exceptional combination of this extremely rare shade with sheet margin and retouche, for an advanced collection.
