    1859: 10 c. 'bruno violaceo' and 10 c. 'bruno grigio olivastro', two fine adhesives with good to large margins, well embossed, tied by light "PALAZZAGO 10 NOV. 60" cds (Sassone BG = 10 punti) on entire letter to Desenzano. Reverse  with Austrian-style Bergamo transit (Nov. 11) and Desenzano-Milano ambulant cds of the same day as well as indistinct Desenzano arrival cds in blue (Nov 11). Adhesives show ink traces from reverse, presumably from an earlier usage, an interesting usage after the adhesion of Lombardy to the Sardinian Kingdom. Sassone = € 2'300 + 2'100.
