    1854 (Dec 3): Cover from Verona to Novara in Sardinia, bearing Carta a mano 30 c. dark-brown type II, a fine and fresh right sheet marginal (7 mm) horizontal pair with large margins all round, tied by bold VERONA cds, "P.D." in red alongside, reverse with arrival cds of the next day. File folds well away from the adhesives, an interesting usage from the third Austrian to the first Sardinian rayon.
