    1851/60: 3 d. dull red, a fresh and fine example with ample to large margins, in vibrant deep colour and neatly tied by '1' numeral obliterator in an oval of bars to cover to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Reverse with "ST. JOHN NEW BRUNSWICK" despatch (March 11, 1854) cds in black as well as oval arrival datestamp in black (March 15).
