    1840: 1d. black, plate 1b, lettered TG, good to large margins tied by red MC to cover, sent from Charing Cross London to Edinburgh. Reverse with despatch datestamp (June 10, 1840) and arrival cds (June 11), both in red. Vertical file fold well away from the franking, nevertheless fine cover. Opinion Holcombe (1995).
