    French Shipmail 1870 (Jan 10): Cover from Marseille to Rome, bearing Napoléon laureated 20 c. blue type II and 30 c. brown, two fresh stamps, tied by light Anchor lozenge. Front struck with Shipmail's "LIGNE W PAQ. FR. 2 10 JANV. 70" cds as well as framed PD, both in black. Reverse with Civitavecchia transit and ROMA arrival (Jan 12, 70) cds's. Travelled with the steamer 'Pausillipe' of the Marseille - Napoli line, a fresh and appealing item.
