    Ballon monté 1871 (Jan 20): Entire newspaper letter 'Gazette des Absents' no. 29 carried on board of balloon no. 64 'Général Daumesnil' to Boulogne-sur-Mer, franked with Napoléon laureated 20 c. blue type II, a fresh and fine example, tied by Étoile de Paris '47' obliterator with Paris Gros-Caillou despatch cds alongside. Reverse with arrival (Jan 23) cds. Attractive.
