    1877: Double rate Value envelope with an insured value of 10'000 francs from Paris to Bourdeilles, bearing Sage 5 fr. violet on lilac in a horizontal pair with 40 c. red orange in type I and 15 c. blue, tied by "PARIS PL. DE LA BOURSE 5 MARS 80" despatch cds, timbre indicatif de chargement in red alongside. Reverse with Perigieux transit and type 16 BOURDEILLES arrival cds of the next day. A large-sized cover with the edge wear to be expected, two nearly invisible vertical file folds well away from the franking, correctly franked to pay the maximally allowed insurance amount of 10'000 francs with twice 15 c. postage for the double rate cover, 25 c. fixed fee and 100 times 10 c. for the insurance.
