    1872: Entire letter from Paris to Santa Ana, El Salvador, endorsed with "VIA SOUTHAMPTON" handstamp, bearing Cérès 80 c. rose and a horizontal pair of 25 c. type I, adhesives in fresh colour, tied by fair Étoile de Paris '1' obliterator. Matching "PARIS PL. DE LA BOURSE" despatch cds (Sept 1, 73) as well as "P.P." handstamp and "LONDON PAID 2 SP 73" cds, both in red alongside. The receiver had to pay '4 Rs.' noted in blue crayon for the inland part of the journey. Lower left corner of the leftmost stamp replaced, still a very attractive entire to a very rare destination sent with British vessel via Panama.
