    1870: Entire letter from Lille to Athus, Belgium, bearing Bordeaux 10 c. greenish bistre report 2 and 20 c. blue report 2, two fine and fresh adhesives with good to large margins all round, tied by Gros Chiffres '2046' numeral lozenge, despatch cds "LILLE  PL. St. MARTIN 11 MAI 71" and framed PD, both in black alongside. Reverse with Belgian "FRANCE OUEST" entry and MESSANCY transit (May 12) cds's. A fresh and attractive combination franking to pay the rate to Belgium. Signed Calves, cert. von der Weid (1995).
