    1868: Cover from Monaco to Wiesbaden, bearing Napoléon laureated 40 c. orange, a fine example with vibrant colour, tied by Gros Chiffres '2387' numeral lozenge, matching "MONACO 15 JANV. 70" despatch cds and framed PD, both in black alongside, reverse with French ambulant cds's and German distribution cds (Jan 18). An appealing cover from a scarce provenance.
