    1862: Cover from Paris to Bordeaux, bearing Napoléon perf. 5 c. dark-green in mixed franking with Siège 20 c. blue, two fresh examples, tied by light Étoile de Paris '1' numeral obliterator with matching "PARIS PL. DE LA BOURSE 1 SEPT 71" despatch cds alongside. Few nibbed perfs, nevertheless a rarely seen combination to pay the newly introduced 25 c. bureau à bureau rate on its first day.
