    1803 (May 22): Unpaid entire letter from Nice to Torino struck by clear "85 NICE" straight line handstamp in black, reverse with fine "Prairial" arrival handstamp in red mentioning the month of arrival in the French revolutionary calendar. A fine entire from the Department Conquis no. 85, Alpes-Maritimes which became part of France in 1793.
