1877: 10 c. vermilion, rouletted, tied to 1878 entire letter to Torino by "A" in bars obliterator with 'Correo / Montevideo' cds at left (Aug 9) in black. Carried by French Mailboat 'Equateur' with octagonal "MONTEVIDEO / PAQ. FR. J. No. 2" datestamp below (Aug 10) in black (Salles fig. 1076). Struck with triangular 'T' marking and manuscript '140' and corresponding Italy 1870 Postage Due 40 c. and 1 lire tied by 'Torino' cds (Sept 7).
