British P.O.'s in Colon 1856: Cover from Panama to Paris with oval sender's cachet 'Hurtado Hermanos / Panama' in red on reverse, mailed via British P.O. with extremely rare usage of double arc COLON datestamp in red (Feb 23) well struck alongside. Carried via London (March 20) where struck with framed "COLONIES / ART. 18" in red with handstruck '15' décimes due mark in black.
