    1882: 25 st. blue and pale blue, paying the single foreign letter rate to France in 1887 on pre-printed stationery. The sender is the French Vice Consul in Varna. The stamp is cancelled with a black bilingual Varna cds. Avricourt transit and Thiers arrival on reverse. The envelope is slightly trimmed with part of the back flap missing. An unusual usage for a foreign destination letter.  Opinion Todd (2015).
