    1879: 50 c. black and blue, used as single franking on registered cover from Gabrovo via  Roustchouk to Bucharest. The stamp shows some short perforations and foxing; correctly rated for a foreign registered letter, with some traces of wear and tear. Less than 5 letters of the first issue to Romania recorded. Opinions Hitzler (2017) and Penev (2021).
