    1929/34: Airmail 20 c. in red on 15 c. black, a used example on registered 1931 cover to San Salvador, in combination with 1929 3 c. deep purple and 1927 Obligatory Tax 1 c. olive-green tied by "Central Certificados" datestamps (July 11) in blackish-violet (paying the 3 c. exterior postage, 1 c. Tax, 5 c. registration and 15 c. airmail rate). Reverse with San Salvador arrival cds (July 14) in violet and airmail cachet. Illustrated on the front cover of "El Quetzal" issue #380. An extraordinary cover - the sole recorded usage of this variety known on letter.
