    1862 (Oct 11): Entire letter from Poggio Mirteto to Roma, bearing horizontal pair 1862 10 c. bistre with part of selvedge at left, cancelled by rare grill obliterator of the Papal States, POGGIO MIRTETO cds in black alongside. Appealing usage to pay the postage to the Papal border, the rest of the journey had to be paid by the addressee upon arrival. Signed A. Diena & Raybaudi Sassone = € 3'750.
