    1842 (Nov 4): Entire letter from Copiapo, Chile to Tarma, Peru endored 'por el vapor Chile', struck with "VAPOR CHILE / P" in black. The letter is addressed to Francisco de Paulla Otero, President of the Arequipa Department who had fought alongside San Martin in the liberation War of 1820-1824. Some dust marks but very scarce.
