    1870/71: Double rate Registered Envelope from Lure to Plancher-les-Mines, bearing Siège 40 c. orange and Cérès 25 c. blue  type I (2), tied by Gros Chiffres '2128' lozenge with matching despatch cds (Nov 24, 1872) in black and CHARGÉ handstamp in red alongside. Reverse with timbre indicatif de chargement in red and arrival cds of the following day. Correctly franked item with 40 c. for the double weight and 50 c. registration fee, prior to the re-introduction of the lettre recommandée in Feberuary 1872. An appealing cover.
