    1870: Triple rate Envelope from Hirson to Paris, internally dated "Hirson le 12 Sepbre 1871", bearing all three values of the so called Siège issue, 10 c. yellow bistre, 20 c. blue and 40 c. light orange, tied by Gros Chiffres '1802' lozenge in black, matching despatch HIRSON in black (Sept 12) alongside. Rare usage of all three Siège values to pay correctly the 70 c. rate for a triple rate cover, a tariff in force for two weeks since September 1st, 1871.
