    1785 (May 3): Registered cover from Piura to Quito with "#" at edges of letter to denote registration, struck with "FRANCA" and abbreviated "PIURA" both in red (Colareta 1 = 90 pts. seven years earlier than listing / Tizón fig. 1 = EXT). Manuscript rate "Certificacion = 4, Porte = 3½ = 7½" Reales de plata and manuscript notation of registration "Salio en 3 de Maio 1785" and receipted inside front panel.
