    1842 (Nov 25): Entire letter from Lima to Arequipa enclosing a draft, endorsed "Vapor Chile" and struck with fine "VAPOR CHILE / P" handstamp in black. Transit of "YSLAY" in oxidised red (now looks black) and rated '2½' reales for inland delivers (the PSNC fee was 1 real prepaid), the Steamer saild on the day of mailing and arrived in Valparaiso on December 7. Some small staining at base not detracting from a scarce entire.
