PSNC 1872: Entire letter from Paita to New York franked by Great Britain 1867/73 3 d. rose pl. 5 in a horizontal pair, tied by bold "C43" struck in blue with single ring "PAYTA" cds at left (July 10). Carried by PSNC Steamer to Panama and thence by American ship with "NY. STEAMSHIP / 10" arrival (July 10) in black. Adhesives crossed by file fold but a rare usage.
