    PSNC & Messageries Impériales 1870: Entire letter from Cobija to Bordeaux endorsed "por Panama", mailed at British P.O. in COBIJA with despatch cds in black (June 14), franked by 1868/69 10 c. vermilion, eleven stars, tied by "LAMAR / FRANCA" undated circular handstamp in black. PSNC Steamer to Panama with circular PANAMA TRANSIT in black and passed to French Office with octagonal "PANAMA / PAQ. FR. A .No.2" datestamp (July 1) in black (Salles fig. 1413) and carried by "Martinique" from Chagres with Bordeaux (July 25) arrival on reverse. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 204. A rare issue on letter, especially so on overseas mail.
