    PSNC & RMSP 1859: Cover front from Copiapo to Madrid, Spain endorsed "via de Panama", franked for internal rate with 1856/62 10 c. blue, diogonally bisected, tied by target handstamp and by COPIAPO despatch cds. Carried by PSNC Steamer with three line dated "PANAMA / TRANSIT" in black (Aug 21). Thence by RMSP "Thames" from Colon to St. Thomas and "Parana" to Southampton. Charged "4R" due in blue on receipt. Bisects are scarce on mail to overseas destinations.
