RMSP 1848 (Jan 4): Entire letter written at Cayenne, Guyane Française, to Bordeuax, endorsed "par le Packet anglais de Demerara" carried privately to Demerara and struck with double "DEMERARA" cds in black (Jan 11). Carried on the RMSP "Reindeer" to Barbados, thence by the "Tay" to Southampton. Struck with framed "Colonies / &c. Art. 13" in red and mss.
