    Messageries Impériales 1876: Cover from Savanilla to Le Havre, sent stampless and endorsed "Par Vap. fr. Martinique", strruck with octagonal French Consular "SAVANILLA" datestamp (Oct 22) in black (Salles fig. 1377) and, alongside, octagonal "SAVANILLA / PAQ. FR. D No. 1" datestamp (Oct 23) in black (Salles fig. 1505). Carried on ther Ligne D Steamer "Martinique". The envelope with printed reverse and Paris and Le Havre (Nov 20) datestamps in black and charged '12' décimes to pay. Sensibly opened for display, a fine cover.
