    Italian Postal Agencies 1874 (March 19): Entire letter from Montevideo to Genova endorsed "pr. Sud-America" of the Lavarello Line, struck with rare "♚ Savoy Arms / SERVIZIO POSTALE ITALIANO / MONTEVIDEO" cachet in blue with italic "con Bastim. Mercant." cachet in black. Disinfected with slits, charged with handstruck "4" and 1870 Postage Due 40 c. applied and tied by 'Genova' cds (April 21). Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 122 and in "Italian Post Offices Abroad" by Zanaria, Serra, Dal Negro on page 282. A superb cover of great rarity with just three such recorded - no example in the Giorgio Magnani collection. Cert. E. Diena (2009).
