    Falmouth Packets 1826 (Aug 4): Entire letter from Buenos Ayres to London during the Brazilian blockade of the River Plate, struck on despatch with two line "BUENOS / AYRES" handstamp in red, carried on the Admiralty Packet "Dove" (under Lieut. James St. John). Rated in manuscript upon receipt at "3/6d." due to pay (2/5d. for the Maritime rate + 1s. 1d. for Falmouth to London + 1d. Captain's fee). London FPO arrival cds (Oct 26) on reverse of a fine and interesting entire.rnNote: Lieut. James St. John was relieved of his command for an Admiralty order violation upon his return to Falmouth.
