    Falmouth Packets 1842 (Sept 17): Entire letter from Buenos Ayres to Bath, England endorsed "per H.B.M. Pkt" and carried on "HMS Cockatrice" via Rio de Janeiro, struck on arrival in Falmouth with fine circular "BUENOS AYRES / O" handstamp in green. Reverse with double arc 'Bath' arrival cds (Feb 10) in black displaying well on flap; rated at '2/7d.' to pay in manuscript (2/5 d. for the Maritime voyage + 1 d. internal charge to Bath + 1 d. Captain's gratuity). Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 101. Slight crack in face panel not detracting from appearance of a rare entire.rnProvenance: Collection Rodolfo Campigotto.
