    1852 (Nov 8): Entire letter probably from Rio de Janeiro via Montevideo to Buenos Ayres endorsed "per Condesa" in manuscript, struck with superb strike of oval framed "MONTEVIDEO / 8 NOV / (52)" handstamp in black and charged '10' centavos to pay upon receipt. Less than fifteen covers have been recorded with this datestamp: only used in 1852 on incoming foreign mail. A fine and rare cover. Cert. C.H.
