    1862 (Oct 25): Cover from Rio de Janeiro to Genoa, Italy endorsed "par Str. Béarn", franked by just touched 1861 280 r. red, large margins on three sides, tied by dotted lozenge in black and also by oval "INSUFFICIENTE" in black (a further strike cancels the initial erroneous "P.D." in red at right), the cover was correctly franked for France but not for Italy whose rate should have been 430 reis. "Correio Geral da Corte" in black at right (Oct 25) and reverse with Lyon cds (Nov 22) and Genova arrival where charged"12" decimi due to pay.
