    1841: 1 d. red-brown on lightly blued paper, black plate 9, lettered RD with O flaw, a used example with large even margins all round, used on 1843 cover within London tied by bold strike of London "No. 5" in Maltese Cross in black. Despatch and arrival datestamps on reverse (July 15) in red and in black. Superb and scarce very late use of a "Black Plate" with London MC with number.
