    1841: 2 d. blue on blued paper, pl. 3, lettered QF, a used example with good even margins all round, the stamp with "Shifted Transfer" most noticeable on value tablet at base, tied to 1844 registered cover from Liverpool to Kendal by "466" numeral obliterator. Manuscript "Registered" and "1/-" in red ink alongside circular LIVERPOOL / PAID datestamp in red denoting that the registration fee was paid in cash. Kendal double arc arrival cds in blue (Sept 4) on reverse. A fine and most attractive cover Gi ES11d = £ 350 (for a normal cover).
