    1840: 2 d. blue, Plate 1, lettered CJ, a used example with close to large margins all round with portion of adjoining stamp at right and horizontal scissor cut in margin at top, of fine deep colour, neatly tied to 1841 cover to George Westgarth, Boulby Alum Works Guisborough by Maltese Cross in red. Reverse with London despatch cds (Feb 6) in black. File folds away from adhesive, an attractive cover Gi DS5 = £ 2'500.
