1863 (Aug 25): Small entire letter from Macau to Madeira, centrally struck on despatch by the locally made Portuguese "♚ / PAGO / EM / MACAO" handstamp struck in red (see Parmenter & Gordon page 2/4, Frazao MACPP4), overstruck by framed POR ALEXANDRIA handstamp in black applied at Lisbon. Handstruck '150' reis in black with alteration in manuscript below with additional 15 reis for Lisbon to Madeira and rated 165 (reis) on arrival. Latest recorded date of use of this handstamp.
