    1874 (Sept 28): Cover from Tampico to Vera Cruz franked by combination of Mexico 1874 perf. 10 c. black (40-74) tied by oval FRANCO EN / TAMPICO oval in blue and Great Britain 1865 4 d. vermilion p. 13, wing margin trimmed, tied by good strike of the "C63" obliterator in black for the additional cost of the voyage by sea to Vera Cruz. Double arc "Tampico" cds of British P.O. below (Sept 28) in black. Docketed internally as received (Oct 2). A fine and rare combination usage, the penultimate date for a combination cover from Tampico. Signed Todd AIEP. Cert.
