    1850 (Aug): Sydney View 1 d. dull carmine on greyish paper, Plate II, a used example (Row 3, stamp 5 / position 15) thus showing the "Without Clouds" variety, with huge even margins all round, tied to 1851 local Sydney cover by oval of bars obliterator in black, the cancellation leaving the variety clear. Framed "6 / O CLOCK" marking alongside and reverse with "SYDNEY / ♚ / NEW SOUTH WALES" circular datestamp in black (Feb 24). Cover #74 in the Census. An exceptional and extremely fine usage, the finest of but two recorded thus - the other, ex Frajola, had the 'No Clouds' obliterated by the cancellation. An exhibition item of the highest quality.
