    Provisional Surcharges 1886 (April): "½ PENNY" on 2½ d. dull blue, an unused vertical pair of fine colour, showing the damage to the lower surcharge that led to the "Surcharge Omitted" variety, the lower stamp's surcharge with "PENNY" shaved and the "2" of "½" missing entirely, fresh and very fine with large part og. Unlisted by Stanley Gibbons but extremely rare and most unusual.
