    1896: De La Rue Britannia issue Master Die Proofs (6) from piece ex the DLR day-book (112 x 114 mm.), with completed low and high value designs with Duty Plates, and four Duty Plate only designs for the 5 d., 5 s., 10 s and £ 1 values, all in black on stamp size white glazed cards, the final four Proofs with manuscript "Trinidad" at top. Instructions with "120 leads, 6 extra for repairs" or "60 leads, 6 extra" on the high values. Dated between April 1 and April 22, signed off as invoiced in red manuscript on "July 24 '96".
