Recess by Perkins Bacon 1854/57: Perkins Bacon (1 d.) rose-red on white paper, a used example with just touched to large margins all round, used on cover to Marseille, France, lightly tied in black with fair "♚ / PAID / AT / TRINIDAD" in red at left and manuscript '1/2' prepaid. London transit (Dec 18) and reverse with poor 'Trinidad' double arc cds and single ring cds (1 / Nov 25) in black and small Marseille arrival (Dec 20).
