1862/68: 1 d. rose-red in a horizontal pair with single 6 d. deep green, perf. 11-12½, used on 1868 cover to the Duke of Polignac in Paris, cancelled by two bold strikes of the vertical "A10" obliterator with 'St. Vincent' cds (Nov 25) in red alongside. Manuscript '7d.' credit in red crayon at left. 'London / Paid' transit (Dec 14) and circular PD in red with Calais transit cds also on obverse. Part of adjoining 1 d. adhesive at left and one or two toned perfs. at top but a charming and rare cover.rnProvenance: Collection J.L.
