    1890 (June 4): Provisional 2½ d. on 4 d. red-brown, single example showing variety "Surcharge Double", used on registered 1892 cover to Cape Town with 1885 4 d. red-brown (2) and single 1889 2½ d. dull purple & blue all tied by oval JAMAICA / REGISTERED datestamps (May 30) in black. London transit on front (June 16) in red and reverse with Cape Town arrival (July 6) in red. A splendid and rare cover. Cert. RPSL (1953).
